The Penultimate Footnote
Footnotes that stay out of your text.
Other footnote plugins stuff the whole note inside your post, wrapped in a shortcode. Switch them off and the raw text spills everywhere. Ours keeps each note in its own table and leaves a small marker in the post. Nothing to clean up, ever.
What it does

- Reuse a noteCite the same source twice, or keep a library of the references you use everywhere.
- Numbering your wayNumbers, letters, roman numerals or the classic *, †, ‡. Per page or continuous.
- 27 looks, and your ownPick a theme, or tune colours, borders and fonts in a live editor.
- Imports the othersConverts notes from Easy Footnotes, Modern Footnotes, Footnotes Made Easy and the core block.
- SearchableWordPress search finds words inside notes. Relevanssi too.
